“Nylon Guitar Vol.1” is a collection of loops crafted for musicians, rappers and producers in mind!
It contains 20 loops labeled by key and tempo and it’s a super useful pack to have it in your arsenal, specially for styles such as: Bossa, Trap, Pop and Lofi.
After investing significant time in meticulously crafting each component, our comprehension of the classical guitar has reached new depths. We dedicated special focus to the melodic and harmonic nuances within each loop, delving into various right-hand techniques, including alternating bass versus melody, fingerpicking with individual fingers, and the incorporation of full strummed chords. Notably, we prioritized the right hand, emphasizing dynamics, articulation, clarity, and precision to ensure a rich and expressive musical experience..
We decided to infuse some creative experimentation into a few of the loops, introducing a unique twist by incorporating a sponge next to the saddle. This unconventional addition produced a mellower tone, reminiscent of the distinct sound associated with the African instrument, the ‘Kora’.
In terms of the recording process, we opted for the ‘Mid-Side’ technique. This involves positioning a mid-microphone (large diaphragm, cardioid) directly facing the guitar, complemented by a ‘figure of 8’ microphone pointing 180° off to the sides. The choice of Mid-Side was driven by the desire for precise control over the separation between the mid and sides channels. This approach allowed us to fine-tune the amount of sides for each loop individually, ensuring a tailored and nuanced recording for every piece.
